FormscanBy Donal Murphy - A strong looking bumper to round off proceedings, with FIRST APPROACH, Not Many Left, and Rapid Escape the stand out names. The selection lost little in defeat on his initial racecourse outing at Galway last month, and he might be able to go one place better now. The Gunner Murphy got first run on him at Ballybrit, and just half a length separated them at the line. First Approach won a point-to-point for Donnchadh Doyle on his debut at Dromahane in April, and subsequently went unsold at E95,000 at Goffs. Not Many Left also won a point-to-point, scoring at Largy for Colin Bowe in April. He then changed hands for E150,000, and it'll be interesting to see how he gets on here on his debut for Jessica Harrington and owners Robcour. Rapid Escape was a good fifth in the Goffs Land Rover Bumper at the Punchestown Festival. His trainer Gordon Elliott said of him in a recent Racing Post stable tour: "We didn't hide how much we liked him before he ran in the Land Rover bumper at Punchestown, and even thought he was beaten we still think a lot of him. He probably should have won that if I'm being honest because he was too far out of his ground and he came home very well. We'll probably start him off in a bumper at Down Royal and take it from there with him but we like him." Clever As A Fox and Perito Moreno are the most interesting of the newcomers, while Kelp Forest is another for the shortlist with Jamie Codd aboard for his brother Willie.
