The star novice has yet to race in open company in any of his 12 career starts and while it is a minor cause of concern that connections skipped last weekend’s Tingle Creek in favour of this lesser race, he looks the one of the most promising chasers of recent years. On adjusted ratings, he has just 2lbs in hand over Gilgamboa but should be able to better his 169 rating in time. Gilgamboa is himself a proper and versatile chaser and while probably suited by a longer trip, showed up very well over 2m at Navan last time. He might prove second best and confirm form with The Game Changer, whom he beat at Navan latest and now meets on 3lbs better terms. Days Hotel is a solid performer but is now 11 and should struggle to get involved while Mozoltov makes his debut for a new yard and is best watched following a layoff. Fine Rightly is rated 152 but is better over further and is also likely to struggle.
