FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - ARTIC FIRE'S 169 rating shines out like a beacon here. The Soldier Hollow gelding really announced his arrival on the scene at this meeting two years ago, when finishing off strongly for third in the Royal Bond behind The Tullow Tank and Renneti. Arctic Fire has achieved a lot (placed in several Grade 1s including the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham in March behind Faugheen) since, but he hasn't been to Fairyhouse in the interim. He obviously acts nicely around here though, and the two and a half mile trip is only going to be to his advantage. He showed as much when winning at Navan last time, and indeed when falling at the last when looking a big possibility at Aintree back in April.
