FormscanBy Michael Graham - This trip is going to take plenty of getting if the rain continues to fall so BLESS THE WINGS makes plenty of appeal. A run in he extended three mile six furlong cross country handicap chase at Cheltenham certainly seemed to reinvigorate him, as he was only headed at the last and beaten into third by two good yardsticks in Josies Orders and Any Currency. This ground shouldn't hold any fears for him and he runs for Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy who have been teaming up to such good effect recently. On his previous run, he was well beaten into fourth in the Cork Grand National by Tulsa Jack. Although Tulsa Jack has to be respected, he was pulled up in his next appearance in the Troytown at Navan when always in rear. That would have to temper any enthusiasm as it was a week ago. Clar Na Mionn, with a racing weight of 10-1, should have a role to play. He came in second in the Cork Grand National albeit beaten by 12 lengths. He has gone up 2lbs but prior to Cork he had been continually dropping down the weights and he should be more than competitive with trip and ground to suit.
