FormscanBy Gary Carson - HOW HIGH THE MOON did really well to win on her debut here earlier in the month when having to overcome traffic problems. The form of that race is open to question but the style of her victory marked her out as a good one and given that the yard's runners often improve a good bit for a run she looks the one to beat now. Leafy Shade ran an interesting race when stepped up in grade in the Debutante Stakes last week. She was prominent before dropping away and then staying on again in the closing stages. With that experience under her belt she could be a danger now. Miss Katie Mae ran a cracker when just going down by a neck in the Anglesey here last month but that the winner might have been idling a bit then and it maybe wasn't the strongest Group 3. Last Waltz won in good style at Roscommon but this is a significant step up in grade now while Bridgets Fable ran on well to score at Tipperary on her debut but has to improve a good bit from that.
