FormscanBy Gary Carson - There haven't been many horses that destroyed a field of Curragh maidens the way SMASH WILLIAMS did last week and he looks an exciting prospect. There should be more to come from the Fracas colt who had a hold up prior to running and even caught his connections a bit by surprise with the manner of his victory. He has to beat Rockaway Valley, which won't be an easy task, as that rival has proven himself at a good level. He wasn't beaten that far in the Phoenix Stakes, which is probably the best two-year-old race run this year so far and had previously been second in the Railway. Al Qahwa was mugged close home by Redstaroverchina at Naas last time in a tactical affair and may reverse that form but it still leaves him with a bit to find. Juliette Fair won nicely at Leopardstown last time but has a bit to find with Rockaway Valley on their meeting here in June.
