FormscanBy Donal Murphy - I'll take a bit of a chance on CRIMSON KING. The son of Kingman finished down the field on debut here in July, but put in a much improved performance on his second start at the Curragh, keeping on well inside the final furlong to take fourth. He was a bit disappointing on his most recent outing at Gowran, but he looks well-treated now off a mark of 73, as he makes his debut in handicap company. Aidan O'Brien is double-handed with Ferretti and Antilles, with the former given second preference. He flew home to take second over the course a fortnight ago, and the step-up in trip here to seven furlongs should prove ideal. Dandys Ocean has some smart form to her name, and she is sure to have plenty of supporters with Nathan Crosse taking a valuable seven pounds off. Only The Brave makes most appeal of the rest.
