FormscanBy Michael Graham - An excellent race on paper. OUTSPOKEN was impressive on debut in Navan when heavily backed. He beat subsequent winner Salthouse by three and a half lengths in that mile and a quarter maiden on fast ground and afterwards Aidan O'Brien commented that he would be suited by a step up in trip and that he is a big, green, raw horse. There should be a lot more in the tank and everything is in place for a big run. Edelpour faces much quicker ground here but has won both his races this year and is clearly on the upgrade. He has won over this trip and holds a Group Three entry. Joseph O'Brien is on the other Aidan O'Brien runner Archangel Raphael. He won his maiden in Galway when last seen in September. Among his big race entries is the Irish St Leger. He is a colt of some potential but may not be a value bet today on his seasonal reappearance against some very useful rivals. Botany Bay enjoyed the step up to a mile and a half in the Ulster Derby, when finishing well to take the spoils. He is a progressive horse and will be doing his best work at the business end.
