FormscanBy Alan Magee - KNOCKMAOLE BOY looks the one to beat. The selection won twice on the flat last summer including at this venue for Jim Culloty, and made a bright start for current connections when switched to hurdles at Fairyhouse. The five-year-old gelding beat all bar subsequent Grade 2 winner Bleu Berry on that occasion, and spoiled his chance subsequently at Punchestown with a bad mistake after halfway. Guitar George was runner-up to Sanibel Island at Wexford last autumn and should step forward from a run over this course and distance last month behind the impressive Robin Des Foret. The Brig showed promise on a couple of occasions in decent maidens last term and, if progressing after a near five-month break, could well take a hand. Silken Thomas filled the runner-up spot twice for Sandra Hughes but now reappears after a length lay-off. It will be interesting to see how strong he is in the market.
