FormscanBy Tom Weekes - WEIGHTFORDAVE is still winless after 16 starts but might strike here. He has shown a reasonable level of form over jumps and is handicapped here on his initial 2015 outings. He stayed on too late at Fairyhouse latest but will be much better suited by this step up in trip. Pirolo won that Fairyhouse race and while he failed under a mandatory penalty here seven days later, competes from the same mark here. This is a step down from his most recent start and he can get involved again. Trump Card is a proven type in this grade and while most of his form in on the all-weather, ran well in that Fairyhouse race latest. He might no longer be ahead of the handicapper but should run a solid race. Black Label is solid at this level and has his chance despite a big weight while Repare Mon, out of a Galileo mare, has progressed well in Dundalk handicaps this year and is another to consider despite having her first handicap start on the turf. Ard Na Carraig’s best form is over jumps while Awesome Gal, by Galileo, is an interesting runner now that she steps up to this trip for the first time but does take on older horses also.
