Quotes on Buddy One (IRE)
He definitely deserved that as he has been consistent and is after carrying a big weight and won as he liked. We're hoping to kick on to Cheltenham in November now for a staying handicap hurdle. He wants a trip, jumps well and is honest and that's what you want. If he stayed straight we think he'd have won at Cheltenham (in March) when only beaten a couple of lengths and backed it up when finding just one too good at Aintree. We might have a couple to run at Cheltenham in November and when you have horses like these, I like to campaign them at the good places and hope to get good results. I reckon he'll be a better chaser but I'd say we'll wait to jump a fence until next year. After Buddy One (IRE) finished 1st at Galway on Sat, 28th Oct 2023 2m 5f Hcap Hurdle Soft

That wasn't before his time, but they still have to go and do it. In all his races, all he looked like doing was staying and had been beaten by better horses on the day. He seemed to handle today's ground well, but the ground might get a bit tight for him from now on. Quotes on Home By The Lee (IRE)
I was actually worried how well he was travelling through the race because he never does travel well. I thought he was going to waste too much energy travelling and jumping well but he’s a real good stayer. He keeps finding and even when he got to the front he pricked his ears again. I was surprised he beat Bob Olinger in Navan but he really was going well. He was discounted in the betting but we hoped he’d be placed and then come here. He’s always been a fairly good horse. He was a good novice chaser and then lost his confidence jumping fences and we came back hurdling. He’ll probably go straight to Cheltenham now for the Stayers. He likes getting into a nice rhythm and wasn’t beaten a million miles in it last year. He looks a better horse this year. After Home By The Lee (IRE) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Wed, 28th Dec 2022 3m Hurdle Soft

Quotes on Irish Point (FR)
Jack said he would have done more in a piece of work at home,. He was very professional, settled and did everything great. You are always worried stepping up to three miles. It’s a nice race to win, we’ve a couple for that division now and it’s a good problem to have. We’ve a great bunch of horses and Jack said to me there that all I have to do now is to make sure to split them up. He could be a horse that we’d keep for Aintree, we’ll enjoy today and see what happens. The horse was very good and I thought it was a great performance. I thought he was so relaxed that he ticked all the boxes to stay, but you are always nervous until he does it. Jack said he actually thought halfway down the back that he was so relaxed, but he said when he gave him a squeeze he leapt straight back on it.After Irish Point (FR) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Thu, 28th Dec 2023 2m 7f Hurdle Heavy

Quotes on Monkfish (IRE)
He hasn’t missed any training (this season), we just hadn’t got him out, so we were happy his fitness would hold up. We thought he was a Gold Cup horse once upon a time, but that is a great start to his season and hopefully he can build on it now. We were supposed to start him at Tramore on New Year’s Day but he got a little bang, so we decided to wait for this. He is in the Gold Cup and Stayers’ Hurdle but all options are open and it will be a case of what race suits, when he is ready. We won’t rush him back and Cheltenham is only seven weeks away, so he’ll probably go straight there. The decision regarding which race he runs in will be a Willie special. Ruth Dudfield does a fantastic job in keeping him sound and we’ll just hope he is OK in the morning. Touch wood, at his age, he will stand up to it.After Monkfish (IRE) finished 1st at Gowran Park on Thu, 25th Jan 2024 3m Hurdle Heavy

Quotes on No Looking Back (IRE)
he won his bumper here the same way, when he came down the hill he showed a good turn of foot, was interested in what he was doing and went on and won,. His jumping was pretty ok, I think he'll be sharper the next day but I'm delighted with him. He is a grand horse and is a half-brother to (stablemate) Unexpected Depth. We have no plan and came here today to see how he'd behave and perform. I'd say he'll run at Christmas but I'm not sure he likes heavy ground, yielding or soft ground probably suits him. After No Looking Back (IRE) finished 1st at Thurles on Thu, 1st Dec 2022 1m 7f Maiden Hurdle Yielding

Quotes on Sir Gerhard (IRE)
Asterion Forlonge always likes to jump right, that's just his way of doing it but overall he jumped well. His jumping isn't going to change now with his age but it was a good performance. We went a nice gallop, didn't hang around and it is nice to get another win with him. I gave him a pop yesterday and he has always been a very good jumper at home and just has his own way of doing it. He is a high class horse and was bang there in those top Grade 1 chases so the ability is there. He has been around a long time, he has been a right horse and they (himself and Sir Gerhard) are two top horses so it is great to get the opportunity to ride them. After Sir Gerhard (IRE) finished 1st at Cork on Sun, 31st Mar 2024 2m Hurdle Soft to Heavy

Quotes on Sire Du Berlais (FR)
Unbelievable. To come back at this age and do it again, we’re absolutely delighted. Mark gave him a brilliant ride because he was flat to the boards the whole way and he just kept holing him and holding him and he kept picking up — it was brilliant. We didn’t do much with him (since Cheltenham). The girls took him to the beach a couple of times since the last day. We actually haven’t done any galloping really. We’ve just kept him happy. I’d say we will put him away now. He won’t go to Punchestown, anyway, I don’t think. He deserves a holiday now. He has been the horse of a lifetime and we’re lucky to have him. To be honest, I thought we were in a bit of trouble today, but he just kept picking up.After Sire Du Berlais (FR) finished 1st at Aintree on Sat, 15th Apr 2023 3m Hurdle Good to Soft

Quotes on Lantry Lady (FR)
she’s entered in the Mares Hurdle at Cheltenham and we’d love to go. It’s a step up in trip but all she does is stay. I’d say she definitely wants a good ease in the ground so we would be cautious of that but the guys would love to go to Cheltenham and I think she is entitled to go. She’s obviously a really nice mare and I’m delighted for the Marigas (owners) who are great supporters of ours. She was impressive winning her maiden hurdle here last year and then we put her away as she was a bit immature. She’s had a couple of niggles so it’s taken us a while to get her going again and I was concerned about fitness and it was only her second run. She’s confirmed what she did in her maiden hurdle and has stepped forward again. It’s been an incredible week. The horses are flying, the jockey is flying and it’s been brilliant. We’re very lucky to have good mares like these and good owners. I thought this mare had a chance. Quotes on Whatcouldhavebeen (IRE)
It's great as we haven't had a great run over the winter, a lot of our horses were under a cloud and just weren't performing. We thought she worked nicely the other morning, herself and Boher Road together. He was giving us a nice run until he decided to exit! That gave us a little bit of confidence that she was back somewhere near her best again. She was second in a Grade 1 at this meeting last year. Since she got her summer break she hasn't been firing and she's just coming back to herself now. We'll probably stick to handicap company for Punchestown. It's great to get her back in front again and back running the way she can run. . Aidan kicked on a long way out. We were a bit worried when Oliver McKiernan's horse (Kilbree Warrior) came out as that is normally the pacesetter. . She was starting to hit a bit of a flat spot in her races so we put the cheekpieces on and she travelled a bit better than she has been. They were just going too steady so it backfired a little bit on us as we had to push the pace on ourselves rather than being brought along. She is game and genuine and stayed at it well. It was a brilliant ride by Aidan, very similar to what he did in the Grade 1 last year. We didn't have Ashroe Diamond catching us down the straight today. After Whatcouldhavebeen (IRE) finished 1st at Fairyhouse on Mon, 1st Apr 2024 2m 6f Hcap Hurdle Heavy
