The lightly-raced seven-year-old gelding only joined Jessica Harrington last year winning three times on the Flat and winding up with a three-figure rating. The Commonstown trainer has already revealed that the selection is a very good jumper and he handles soft ground well. Strange Notions is still a maiden after 13 outings on the Flat and over hurdles but has gone close on a number of occasions including when touched off by Venezia on the level at Navan last spring. The daughter of High Chaparral has returned in good form over hurdles this year filling the runner-up spot twice before a staying on fifth to Black Tears in a valuable handicap at Leopardstown. Kismet Hardy won twice on the Flat for Richard Hannon but has obviously had training issues since joining current connections with just one outing over hurdles in over three years.
