Peter Fahey's nine-year-old gelding beat Jett, who reopposes again, by a nose at Killarney last month before following up by a head in the Mayo National at Ballinrobe. The son of King's Theatre relishes good ground, which he is forecast to encounter, and he is the highest rated of the five runners on a mark of 157. Jett, who is rated 4lb inferior to Peregrine Run, looks likely to provide another stern challenge, while Gordon Elliott's dual-purpose horse Flaxen Flare cannot be ruled out after returning from a layoff to score over hurdles at Killarney. Elliott also runs Barra who avails of the mares' allowance. She has kept some good company over fences and is far from out of it after a runner-up spot in Limerick at the end of May.
