Lady Mandeville finished in front of SPIRIT STONE in a maiden here back in July but it's the latter who is now preferred. Spirit Stone's trainer, Ken Condon, is a profitable to follow at Bellewstown and this juvenile was an eye-catcher when sixth here on her debut. Condon said in a stable tour soon after that: "I thought she ran very well for a filly that had only worked on the grass once. It was a big ask for her around a tough track like Bellewstown. She was quite well back early on but she came home very well. She is not a strong robust filly even though she is tall. It was a very encouraging first run and she should come on for that." Three efforts since haven't seen any notable progression on the part of Spirit Stone. However, on the plus side she's by leading first season sire, Zebedee. At a track she obviously handles, Spirit Stone is now dropped to a very tempting mark of 58 and she's also got the best of the draw in stall one. %0A
