FormscanBy Michael Graham - VINNIE LUCK went off favourite for a maiden hurdle at Downpatrick last Friday but slipped up after the fifth last when still in contention. Compensation could loom here. This is his second chasing assignment after a runner-up finish in a beginners' chase on heavy ground at Cork in March. The horse in fourth that day, Concordin, has since won his beginners' chase at Wexford. Vinnie Luck was impressive when winning his point-to-point at Dromahane in April last year. Antiphony has been placed once on heavy ground but most of his best form has been on good or good to soft. He may be best watched on his steeplechasing debut today. The Big Apple hasn't been out for almost 300 days but easily won his bumper on soft ground at Naas in November 2014. He was highly tried on debut when unplaced in a Listed novice hurdle at Naas over two and a half years ago. The market could tell what is expected of him off the long absence.
