I hadn’t ridden her much at home but Denis had told me that she had a chance here today. I hadn’t ridden her in a race for a while either and she had been missing the break, so he told me to get her out of the stalls. I would actually have won further but she didn’t do a whole lot in front, and that’s just her. I think she is in-foal to Blackbeard and they had also mentioned the Rockingham for her as a possibility next.

We were nearly not running her on the ground (officially good, good to firm in places) because she is better with cut. We declared and the race fell apart, and it was more enticing to run all the time. We told Keithen to look after her and to be fair he didn’t have to worry too much. She’s a massive improver. We were probably running her over the wrong trip, and we dropped back. She’s a proper sprinter to look at now. She’s after developing physically and she might be one for some nice sprints at the backend of the season. The Joe McGrath could be an option, and we’d love to get her some black type as well.

she deserved that as she was unlucky at Cork last week, when she could possibly have won. She missed the start by a long way. She is obviously improving and likes an ease in the ground, which she hasn’t had since she won here last month. She looks an improving sprinter so hopefully can keep going and Joey gets a good tune out of her; he is riding very well. She has had a few quick runs so we’ll freshen her up and find a target. This is great and she is paying her way.
