An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after jumping the second last fence, involving Gris Majeur (FR), placed second, ridden by Jonathan Burke and the winner, The Gypsy Davey (IRE), ridden by Adam Wedge.

The Stewards deemed the interference to be accidental as Burke had taken the inside line from over a length down on Wedge when there was initially room for him to do so jumping the second last, however upon landing due to the rail alignment coming out significantly and the fact that Gris Majeur (FR) had outjumped The Gypsy Davey (IRE), Burke had effectively jumped into a pocket and was left with nowhere to go down the inner of Wedge, who had ridden a competitive racing line and resulted in Gris Majeur (FR) being hampered and making contact with the hindquarters of The Gypsy Davey (IRE), notably unbalancing that gelding.

Following the race, Emma Lavelle reported that Everyonesgame (IRE), placed third, ran flat having only run nine days ago.
