He’s fast. If anything is in front of him, they are going too quick!. Joey said where he wins his races is between the two pole and the one. I was a little concerned about the ground drying out, but I walked it and was happy enough. It is what they are calling it and is not a summer good to yielding. There is plenty of juice in it. Five is his thing and I wouldn’t like to take on Ger’s horse over six. We’ll keep him going for a little bit and then give him a break and maybe aim for the Flying Five which has a habit of coming up soft.

he’s improving with age, he’s just one of those late maturing sprinters that is filling into himself the whole time. He’s a big striding horse and you don’t need to get into a row with him. He ran well in Doncaster last year but you won’t see him running over six furlongs again. He likes that ground, will probably have to go up in class now and could go for one of those races at Naas, either side of the Punchestown festival.

He got a bit of a setback after he ran here the last day so that’s why he was missing for a while. He won well and I always felt he was a little bit better than his mark. He does need a bit of a cut in the ground, and he might be one for some of those better handicaps next year hopefully.
