Dundalk Fri, 9th Jan, 2026  Voice Of Reason He is a good horse, he loves it. He did keep finding. With the new jockey today, first time he had sat up on him - we had to talk him through it!. I was wondering was he after going fast enough. He was headed, but he stays real well. Two miles stretches him a little bit. There's a burst of speed and energy in him, but only for so long. There's a two-mile qualified-riders' race down the road. If we run him over two miles again, we'd probably ride him slightly different. Out in front, two miles, he's not a real galloper. They came up behind him the last day and they drove him on. He has some constitution, I've never seen him come off his feed.

He’d a good run the last day when we dropped him in to get him settled and he flew home. They went a good gallop which suited him well and he came home strong. He could be one for the Fred Winter at Cheltenham.

Dundalk Wed, 29th Oct, 2025  Voice Of Reason I haven't had too many runners now, in fairness!. My son Michael got him in a claiming hurdle in Clonmel during the summer. We bought him as a hurdler and we had him at home a few days and we said this isn't a hurdler, this is a Flat horse. He had a good run here and then on his last run he kind of got stopped, he didn't get a clear run and he's a lad you have to keep him going once you get him going. Seamie Heffernan, what can I say?. I'm farming at home and we have four (horses) in at the moment. We only took out the Flat licence since we got this horse. We are bitten by the bug now on the Flat! We'll keep him going.

Navan Wed, 8th Oct, 2025  Boyne Valley The horses are running well. She's a well-bred filly. She hit the goalpost one day early, but she was a little bit disappointing. I'd say probably that is her ideal trip and riding her that way. They went a good pace early on and ever so slight cut in the ground. She doesn't want heavy ground and it was too heavy the last twice. I haven't her entered up anywhere, but hopefully we will find something. We would be hoping there would be something else for her if the handicapper doesn't go mad.

Dundalk Fri, 26th Sep, 2025  Sarmiento Power We got him out of the sales and he just didn't show a whole lot. Maybe it was just the change coming from England. . We let him off for the summer, he had a good break and went out on grass all summer. Then he came back, filled out, and strengthened up and did well. First-time blinkers. He worked up here with the blinkers on him the other day and worked well. . I think the summer break did him great. He had three months off there and he came back a different horse.
