That was a good performance. She was very unlucky at Tipperary the last day where she just got chinned on the line. The 2m6f definitely suited her today. They went a good gallop on the good ground, and it played to her strengths. She wouldn't be that scopey, but she jumped very well today. It was a good performance. The favourite never jumped a fence and was never going and she took full advantage of that. She deserved to win a beginners chase. She's won a point-to-point and a hurdle too, so she's going in the right direction. I'm delighted for Matt Fitzgerald as well, he is a good owner. Today was the plan for the moment. She is rated 115 and we'll see what the handicapper does. She could go back into a handicap and has plenty of experience now. She wants nice ground. She has form on softer ground as well, but she is definitely better on nicer ground. She jumps a lot better on nicer ground.

She won the Gain Mares Final (in Ballynoe) last year and ran well last month at Kilbeggan, but got a kick below at the start and was knocked out for three weeks. Fair play to her as she is still short of work, but isn't too bad. We knew she'd be in the first three today, but Darragh said he was cantering all over them all the time. This is lovely and the farther (in distance) the better. She loves soft ground too so we're hopeful she will go a bit of a way.

she wasn’t in long enough when we entered her in Roscommon and we kind of got roped into running because it looked like a very weak race. A mile-and-seven furlongs racing on good around Roscommon is sharp and she just doesn’t have the speed. She stays. If she produced her form from here in March (when finishing second to smart mare Switch From Diesel) she’d win, so I was delighted. Neil O’Mahony was my first owner eight years ago and has been with me through thick and thin, so it’s great to get another winner for him. She’ll probably go for a maiden hurdle now.
