Killarney Fri, 17th Jul, 2026  My Gaffer He’s brilliant around here. Kenneally gave him a savage ride. He thought he was beaten turning in but he’s as tough as nails. He was a good bumper horse, and bumper horses usually don’t stop. They are tough. He’s a very clear winded horse; he’s a little smasher. I think he has a 22 percent strike rate and I don’t spare them; I run them fairly often.

Kilbeggan Sun, 31st May, 2026  Local News It’s super, obviously in a small field like that you are worried that it could turn into a tactical affair,. She had the least experience in the race so it’s great to see her pull it out like that. She’s such an honest mare and a pleasure to deal with. We’re very lucky to find a mare like her that’s after winning her first two. It’s hard enough to place her after winning first time out as there are no mares’ novices. We had to take on the geldings. We took the chance, going up to three miles today, and it worked out. It was a great rider from Alan. I was a bit worried when the leader was ahead but he was confident that he had enough horse to catch up at all times. It seems that she doesn’t mind toughing it out. We’ll regroup now and see where we go next. After the last day I thought the best thing to do was to go and try to chase a bit of prize-money. I don’t want to over step her and take on mares that are too good yet. It’s a great day, we came all the way from Cork and it’s good to be coming up here and getting a winner. She loves good ground, she just seems to really enjoy it.

Cork Sun, 10th May, 2026  Local News to be honest, she hasn’t been showing anything - definitely not! . She is a companion for another younger horse at home and everyone rides this mare, including my wife Stephanie, my dad and sister. She is a very pleasant mare but that was very unexpected. I suppose she is a six-year-old getting to the races for the first time, so had that bit of experience from home under her belt. She kept getting small niggly injuries which kept knocking her out, but they were nothing serious. Her companion at home was actually due to run in Killarney yesterday but we had bad news when on arrival at the course as the IHRB couldn’t find his microchip, so he wasn’t allowed to run. We’ll get that sorted, go again and, after today, it looks like he can’t be too bad!. This mare is for sale, although there aren’t many who like to buy small mares!. My father Joseph always had a few winners and I’m farming now so took out my trainers’ license a year-and-a-half ago. We are dairy farmers and keep a few horses as a hobby.

Clonmel Tue, 14th Apr, 2026  My Gaffer It is nice for Walter (O'Connor), it is a great win and I fancied him out of the way,. He had won a schooling race at Nenagh, came here fit and well and while I know he had 11st 9lb, I took the 5lb off. He is rated 122 over fences. . He was up to three miles today and that's his job.
