As Del Boy (in Only Fools And Horses) said 'well, we've had worse days!'. There's another one of these hunter chases for him in Listowel in three weeks and that'll be the plan, although this ground is a big factor for him. He likes going left-handed, that's his fifth win around here and he is a lovely fun horse. Unfortunately, Josh is turning professional in July, only just after I making him! The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr J. Dunne, rider of What Path (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr J. Dunne was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g (excessive frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended Mr J. Dunne for three racedays

Mr E.P. O'Brien, rider of Ebenezer Scrooge, trained by Joseph M.Daly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise during the last circuit.
