she’s only around 15.1hh but is gutsy and I was very impressed because of what happened at the second last and had to come around the outside. She is quite ‘pooped’ (tired) after it and will need plenty time before her next run. I’d say a bigger track would suit her better as she’s small and isn’t able to take that bumping around on small tracks. Fair play to her, she has an engine but we can’t get her to just drop the bridle and settle at home. She has run five times, and won four now and you’d love to think she could be good enough to run in the Mares Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham. K.M. Donoghue, rider of Freedom Statue trained by S.J.Mahon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the second last and lost her action.

A novice hurdle race for four yrs old and upwards which, at entry, are rated 130 or less
Weights - 4-y-o 10st 9lb; 5-y-o and up 11st
Penalties - Performances before 26th October for every 1lb above the rating of 120 1lb extra; On or after 26th October for each hurdle race won 4lb extra; Horses that have not run three times over hurdles and/or do not have a published handicap hurdle rating may enter and run at the discretion of the handicapper provided their performances are rated 130 or less.
