Her brother Born Braver has just finished (10th) in the Grand National but it probably came too soon after his Ulster National win and we've always felt this one had more foot than him. It is a great pedigree. Dara is my youngest son and the other two are at home looking after the other horses. We are a small family business so when you get a good one it really makes it worthwhile and we'll try and hold on to her. We might go for a winners' bumper now and she won't go over hurdles until next autumn. She is improving all the time and is still a bit green, so she'll improve away. Dara is doing his Leaving Cert this year so isn't allowed ride over jumps until then and has to go back to study now! Hopefully he'll get into college and he is stay riding as an amateur too. An I.N.H. flat race for four years old and upwards mares only that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing (excluding Academy Hurdles and 3-y-o Junior N.H. Hurdles) and that have been placed first, second, third or fourth in a Point-To-Point Steeplechase in Ireland since 4th October, 2025
Weights - 4-y-o 11st 3lbs 5-y-o and up 11st 11lbs.
Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52. Also open to Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules who have ridden in 10 or more Point-to-Point Steeplechases in Ireland between 05/10/24 & 31/03/26 inclusive. All horses running in this race must hold a current Hunters Certificate. A Hunter Certificate valid in accordance with Rule 78 for the 2025/2026 season for each horse engaged must be registered at the Offices of the I.N.H.S. Committee, The Curragh, Co. Kildare not later than 31st March or the horse will not be qualified to start. The IHRB have suspended the relevant part of Rule 78 to enable horses which run in this race (excluding the winner) to retain their Hunters Certificate for the remainder of the 2025/2026 season. HRI Directive 10 has been suspended for the purpose of this race and the following procedures for elimination and balloting of horses will apply. (i) The number of declared runners shall be reduced by first balloting those horses that have not won a Point-To-Point steeplechase since 4th October, 2025.
