Killarney Sun, 11th May, 2025  Romany Brown Going to the second-last I thought I was in trouble but when the other horse (Wholelotofbusiness) didn't get away from me, he just kept sticking his head out. He is probably better going right-handed as he lugged out with me the whole way but was good and tough. He had been keen in his bumpers but settled well today and I think he will stay further. Our horses have been in great form all year and Martin (Dwyer, owner) is my father-in-law so this is great.

Downpatrick Fri, 9th May, 2025  Youlita A bit of heat exhaustion I'd say. He made heavy enough weather of it. He said he was having a look as well. He wasn't doing him any favours and he (Philip Byrnes) had to get stuck into him. It looked to be only a two-horse race and I'm a bit disappointed he didn't go on and do it.

Cork Fri, 17th Jan, 2025  Wardens Whisper Wardens Whisper deserved that and God he ran his heart out here the last day. Tiernan (Power Roche, winning jockey) is very, very good but I thought at Limerick over Christmas wasn’t his finest moment on this horse. He deserved it and I’m delighted for the lads. Referencing the name of the horse, his owners are all prison wardens, so hence they are all tiny lads. It was very important for me as I had been facing 20 big lads whenever the horse was beaten!. Simon Besanson heads the syndicate and has been very good to me. We’ll give the horse a little holiday now.
