He's a very game horse and battled back well. On winter ground he's okay over two miles but it's a bit sharp for him when the ground is better, and he gets this trip well. The Raceday Stewards interviewed Anthony McCann, trainer of Luminous Light (GB), concerning the conduct of this horse who was reluctant to start. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that his charge had never done this before. The Raceday Stewards advised Anthony McCann that a repeat performance from his charge, may render the animal liable to a suspension in the future. The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Luminous Light, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal

P. Byrnes, rider of Walk Away Harry, trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount couldn't lie up with the pace

The Raceday Stewards interviewed the Racecourse manager, Kathryn Foley, and the Girth man concerning the start of this race, where it appeared the Girth man may have made contact with the hind quarters of Luminous Light with a piece of leather. Evidence was heard from both Kathryn Foley and the Girth man who accepted his behaviour was inappropriate and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards reminded both of their obligations and took no further action.
