Ger absolutely loves this horse and we were delighted to be able to come here on ground which is on the easy side of good. He is only learning, didn't handle Roscommon whatsoever and probably didn't handle here. He is still raw and green and he had to pull him around the bends but it is a great stepping stone for the Tyros (Stakes). He is a fabulous horse and is over 500 kilos - I'm sure we've had ones that size before but they were never any good! G M Lyons, trainer

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident near the finish involving Spanish Flame, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed first, Bremen, ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed second, and Chicago Fireball, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed third. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

G.M. Ryan, rider of Bremen, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the starting stalls

R.L. Moore, rider of Portland, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green in this race.
