FormscanBy Donal Murphy - This concerns just three, with MARINE NATIONALE marginally preferred over Follow The Brave and My Gaffer. The selection impressed on debut at Punchestown in May beating the well-touted Demandrivingdouvan into second. Follow The Brave failed to make an impact on his first start but since justified favouritism at Ballinrobe, easily dismissing 14 rivals. Reported to have 'loved that nice ground' at the Co Mayo venue, he might not appreciate any further rain. With an age allowance and Harry Swan claiming a valuable 7lb, My Gaffer will carry just 10-11. The Malinas gelding came in for plenty of market support prior to his debut at Roscommon, running a fine race there to finish second, going 9-lengths clear of the third. He is entitled to improve for that run but may find the aforementioned duo a bit too strong.
