I'm not racing but that fella felt great coming up to this. The ground was a concern as I felt he might do too much. Massively pleased for Charlie Maguire and Alan Devine, great friends of mine and very grateful to Gary for riding him. I really wanted Gary for him and it all worked out.
Richard John O'Brien
Gary was really good on him. That trip puts him on his head a bit but he gave him a chance and came home well. I'm thrilled and that's his third win for us and plenty of places. He should be still in this grade after this. He takes his races well and we can look for something in about two weeks. He was a nice horse as a youngster and was rated about 80, so he's entitled to be competitive in this grade. The lads picked him up for just two grand.
Richard John O'Brien
He was wrong with a few at the weights but did it very well. He's been a great fun horse and we've had a wonderful time with him. It's great for the lads who own him - Charlie Maguire and Alan Devine - who bought him first day for E2,000 and gave him to me,. It's my first winner here and it's great. He's a great tough sound horse but from our point of view it would work out great (were he claimed) as we've got two wins out of him and it's good business if he's gone, so we'd probably let him go if he is claimed. He's in at Tipperary next Thursday and could easily turn out there if he's not claimed.
Richard John O'Brien
