Hugh is more than capable, he gave that horse a lovely ride because he isn’t the easiest and can be tricky. He got him into a sweet rhythm and did everything right. Limestone Red has been very consistent but the handicaps up here are very tight, with the draw having a big impact. I'm not making an excuse but he has had bad draws all along, . He has done it and I’m delighted for Mr and Mrs Hendron (owners) who have been great supporters of mine and it is a good way to start the year.

Cheekpieces and stepped him up in trip. He was just idling a little bit at home and we put the cheekpieces on him and they actually helped him to go forward. I can't explain him jinking, it is a horrible (wet) night. If you were running into that, you might jink to the side too. The horses are running really well and are in great form. They are in good order, thank God, and we are delighted.
