Despite his win at Laytown last week, many would have had Limit Long down as a doubtful stayer in the second split of the Book Online @ DundalkStadium.com Handicap but the 14/1 chance (from 6s this morning) made all and managed to cling on for a narrow victory. Fri 12th Nov

It’s a surprise that win took so long as he’s a horse that works extremely well at home. He’s a horse that has been lacking a bit in confidence at times and our apprentice Niamh Bennett has done a marvelous job with him. His form is starting to come together now. He responded well under pressure where in the past he might have curled up. He wants it now and maybe he can win a few more now. I’m delighted for the syndicate as they have been very patient. He’ll go on any ground bar tacky ground. He was drawn on the wrong side at the Curragh the last day and didn’t handle the ground.
