That's his eighth win and it's three for me - he's had problems and it's been hard to keep him right but it's great for Sean (Gallagher) who is a great supporter of mine. He was a cheaply bought horse and the little dig in the ground suited him. Unfortunately there was no race for him in the coming days and he's not double-entered. A track like Listowel would suit him and he'll go there in September.
Adrian McGuinness
At this trip now it just gives him a chance to travel - I'd suppose his legs are just not as quick now at the age he is,. He definitely still has the ability and the heart though. I travelled away well into it but Donnacha (O'Brien on Apache Gold) picked up and left me with a bit to do. In those no whips races it's always hard to make a bit of ground. In the last half furlong he was sticking his head down and Donnacha's lad was starting to come back to me a small bit.
Adrian McGuinness
He's a tough little horse and very consistent. He runs his heart out all the time. I thought he'd run a big race tonight and he did. I'm not sure what opportunities he'll get here now as he'll be gone out of the 65 bracket after this and if your rated 68 or 69 you don't get a run in better class handicaps.
J T Gorman
He had a nice draw today. He had a terrible draw the last three days. He was quick out of the gates. I'm delighted for the owners Bill and Penny Foley as they are my biggest patrons. I have only had one winner for them this season so far, so it's good to get another. Things are starting to click into place for me now.
J T Gorman
He ran very well at Dundalk last time out and he probably just needed it. . We were a little worried with him giving away a lot of weight but he did well. He will go for the Goffs Million over six furlongs next.
J T Gorman
That was very apt as we bought the horse from Lynn Lodge Stud and they sponsored the race. He will have a little rest now as he has had 5 big runs now. So we'll see where to go next in 6 weeks time. He was very unlucky in the Marlborough Hill, Pat [Smullen] said he probably would have finished in the first four.
