It's great to have a good horse, but even better to have a good owner. They have been very patient, and that's the first time in yonks that she's had her ground. There has been no problem; we have just been waiting on the ground. She ran on very bad ground in France and ran poorly. We never found a reason for it, but that's the only blip on her CV. We flew her over and she'd never been on a plane before and maybe that gave her a fright. She will go for the Champion Sprint next Saturday and is entitled to take her chance.
Edward Lynam
It was a nice trial. We had three questions that needed answering today. One, had she trained on and she has. Two, would she get seven furlongs, and she did and three, is she worth taking a chance on in the Guineas and she is. I wouldn't jump up and down about the form but the manner of victory was good. Johnny was happy with her and her trainer is not unhappy.
Edward Lynam
I got a phone call to train her and only have her a few months. It's tough on Ado (McGuinness) as he did a good job and deserves most of the credit. I was told she was a bit special when I got her which puts you on a hiding to nothing as you can only mess things up. She's very professional and Johnny was very impressed. She will have one more run this year in a Group 2 at Maisons-Laffitte. It will be soft there!
Edward Lynam
I knew she was a very good filly. She was working at home with horses and beating the hell out of them. Horses rated 80 and 90 couldn't get near her. Ian kep telling me she's one of the best two-year-old's he has ever sat on. She won a schooling race at Dundalk for us. I wasn't sure about the slow ground with her. I don't know where I'll go now. She looks fairly classy and we'll try and get black type.
Adrian McGuinness
