Formscan - GRAIN D'OUDAIRIES won two of his first three starts this campaign but then had the misfortune to bump into a rapidly-improving novice at Doncaster. He still beat the rest fair and square so a 1lb drop might be a bit hasty and he can take full advantage. Karafon's only previous handicap outing in this sphere saw him split a couple of subsequent winners at Ayr and he must be feared. Here Comes Georgie was ahead of the selection when runner-up on Town Moor in November, while Soft Risk has obviously had his issues but it's interesting that connections persevere with him.
