He's a lighter framed horse rather than big heavy ground horse. He'll go on nicer ground and might be faster on nice ground. I thought he was struggling on that down the far side.

last year Eagle Fang was a four-year-old stepping into open company so we knew it would be tough, but he stepped up to the mark. He didn't win a race but ran some good races. He hadn't done a whole pile of schooling over fences and it has only been in the last few weeks that we decided to try it. He isn't a big horse but has a massive heart and is the best horse we have. He is our Tiger Roll and he could now go for one of the Grade 1 novice chases over Christmas. He's a huge horse. I'm not sure where he goes now, the race at Thurles (Grade 3 Pierce Molony Memorial Novice Chase) would be an option and is probably more than likely where he'll go. He took some pearlers of falls last season and 'Puppy' (Robbie Power) did a great job with him, he went up to his for a while. The girls in the yard also did a lot of ground work at home with him. It's an unbelievable family and there are still two young ones running around. It was hard to work out Mullins' horses today as they ran so bad the last day. I thought if they mightn't be on song we might have a squeak. I know we had a bit to find on ratings but a graded race is a graded race and it was a nice pot.

Jack unfortunately had an accident point to pointing in Dungarvan and while I never knew him, obviously the same has now happened to us. We know what they went through and they know what we’re going through: it means a lot to win for them. It’s a local crowd today, we’ve a lot of family here and the racing community are something else. I’ve had someone looking down on me because the last few weeks I’ve been very very lucky and riding for great people. Alan (O’Sullivan) gave him a cracking ride and this is a very special day for the Tyner family as well, so I’ delighted to be part of it.
