ROYAL HOLLOW could prove the safer option and although rated 10lb inferior, she gets 8lb from her rival. Third on her return to hurdles at Killarney, she could get the better of these if putting her best foot forward, with Run For Mahler and perhaps Grainne A Chroi others for the shortlist.

That was great, we’re delighted. She’s actually a good mare, but she’s gotten stronger as she’s got older. We were a little bit worried as she got a bad fall before Christmas, schooling. She was telling us she was right but we were still nervous. Her skin was unreal. She’s tough and she actually did it really well. She came around the home-bend really travelling and he went for it. John hadn’t sat on her in a long time, but he won her maiden hurdle. We were just worried about today and we’ll see where we go now. We’ll see how she is tomorrow. She’ll tell us where we’re going next. That was amazing, I can’t believe it. She’s our pet at home. She’s not over-big, but she’s got a serious heart.

It was a little bit of a relief and while I always liked her, I can't say she shows up massively at home. The way she did it today, you couldn't but be impressed. We only had her a couple of months before her bumper, which was a big turnaround coming from Gary's (Murphy). It was a bit of a gamble to go for a bumper but it worked out and coming here today, she was as fit as we could have her but she'll improve from it. Hopefully she ends up being a nice filly for those good mares' races. I think she is a graded mare, as she has plenty of pace and her jumping is good. Paul (Leech) has been lucky but knows more about racing that any of us. He is based in America but in fairness he has never missed either a strong bit of 'work' or a race. We went through a long list of horses before buying this mare and he went through his statistics and picked her. No doubt he will have a list of things after today so we'll work something out.

She’s a bit mad! She ran too free in Listowel the last day and ran too free in Clonmel before that and in the Galway Hurdle she didn’t jump off,. I wanted to run her in the Irish Cesarewitch last week and he wouldn’t let me but now I want to run her in the Colm White Handicap at Naas (on October 12th). She has loads of ability, she’s very talented. If she puts it all together she’s capable of winning one of those. She did too much in the visor the last day and run herself into the ground. She’s fully mad and we just have to try and keep a lid on her. She ran well in the Tipperary Cup in Clonmel but she pulled for a mile-and-six, she was still pulling turning into the straight and still finished fourth. She’s not learning. We’ll go to Naas now.
