Permission was given for Plage De Havre (GB), Path To Dubai (GB) and Gallant Lion (GB) to each wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final ½ furlong involving the winner, Plage De Havre (GB), ridden by Jason Watson and Path To Dubai (GB), placed second, ridden by Hector Crouch.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved Plage De Havre (GB)’s placing as that runner had shifted marginally left-handed making contact with Path To Dubai (GB) which unbalanced both horses and resulted in Crouch’s mount, who had come from behind Plage De Havre (GB) receiving a further two bumps of increasing consequence which caused Path To Dubai (GB) to lose momentum and be beaten a diminishing nose at the line.
Therefore, the placings were revised as follows: First; Path To Dubai (GB), Second; Plage De Havre (GB), Third; Asgard's Captain (IRE), Fourth; Swinging London (IRE).
The interference was found to be accidental as Plage De Havre (GB) shifted slightly left-handed before being quickly corrected by its rider.
