The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Fuusland, ridden by D.J Gilligan, placed second, and Rememberwhat, ridden by B.P. Kennedy, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. J. Gilligan stated that the horse on his inside was coming out to meet him from the back of the last all the way to the line and his mount was intimidated and it also received a bump. B. P. Kennedy stated that his mount moved marginally to its left but he straightened it immediately. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Rememberwhat had caused minor interference to Fuusland it had not improved its finishing position as a result so they made no alteration to the Judge's placings. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no riding offence had occurred so they took no further action

D.J Gilligan, rider of Fuusland, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received pressure from his inside in the last one hundred and fifty yards
