Punchestown Wed, 4th Feb, 2026  Fillyoureye He needs a bit of nicer ground and needs a trip. Looking at him today I think he needs a fence too, but I’ll wait until the new season comes in. We’ll find a nice hurdle race between now and the end of Punchestown (festival). Possibly something in Fairyhouse for him. He didn’t enjoy Mallow. He didn’t take Paul along at all, so we took the hood off him today and I think it made a big difference. He was always very free, but he’s changed now. He’s more mature and is settling in his races, so it makes him easier to ride. It probably wasn’t the highest standard of race either. He’s improving and maybe the ones around him aren’t. I was happy to get that and I think his future might lie over fences.

Down Royal Tue, 20th Jan, 2026  Jony R He ran in a graded race at Haydock and wasn't out of his depth. He was going to be third or fourth when he fell at the last. First-time hood was on because he was keen when he won here in November. We could try another graded race and he is one that could travel - we will go where we can get winners!. Great to see Ross (brother) winning the first, that horse had form in point-to-points.

Thurles Sat, 20th Dec, 2025  Rising Dust He jumped from fence to fence but Donagh said he was at the pin of his collar and said he had to jump that well to hold his position,. The race was on at just the right time as any more rain wouldn't have suited. He is enjoying his racing and the bit of nice ground is the biggest trick with him. It is great to get four wins with him although life will be a lot harder now. He could come back here again next.

Thurles Thu, 27th Nov, 2025  Rising Dust With his progress over hurdles, you'd be hoping he could do that, but I just wasn't sure if it was his time of year. I told the owners if we got beat today, I wouldn't be overly worried as he could be back in May and be a completely different horse. It was great to the get the nicer ground today and he jumped from fence to fence. Darragh loved it and said he could have gone around with his eyes closed. It was a nice performance. Nothing showed up after his previous run (beaten favourite in sixth at Clonmel), but maybe it was a combination of the ground and the handicapper catching up with him over hurdles - may have been the reason. We had to change tack and luckily we had this chase mark in the bank.
