Permission was given for Newyorkstateofmind (GB) and Port Hedland (GB) to go to post early, and for Notre Maison (GB) to be mounted in the chute and go to post early wearing a red hood.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 3½ furlongs out, involving Port Hedland (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jack Doughty, Nordic Glory (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Paddy Bradley, Libra Tiger (GB), placed second, ridden by Rhys Clutterbuck, and Battle Point (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Gina Mangan.
After interviewing all the riders and viewing recordings of the incident, the Stewards were unable to apportion blame.
Following the race, Tom Marquand reported that Newyorkstateofmind (GB), unplaced, jumped awkwardly from the stalls and as a result was slowly away.
