Permission was given for Vesperado (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Approximately 1 ½ furlongs out, Vesperado (GB), unplaced, shifted quickly right-handed causing Caledonian Dream (IRE), unplaced, to shy right-handed further resulting in Perfidia (IRE), placed second, to become crowded for room and the rider to take a check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approaching the final ½ furlong, Perfidia (IRE), placed second, edged quickly left-handed causing Flamborough Head (GB), unplaced, to be moved slightly off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Perfidia (IRE).
Following the race, Lewis Edmunds reported that Vesperado (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed.
