Permission was given for Sergie's Secret (GB) and Summer Sparkle (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider two incidents of interference approximately one furlong out involving, Sergie's Secret (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Trevor Whelan; Viennetta (GB), unplaced, ridden by William Carson and Zipwire (IRE), placed third, ridden by Taylor Fisher.
Rob Hornby, the rider of the winner, Justcallmesergio (GB), was also interviewed but was found not to be involved.
In the first incident, Whelan was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed without sufficient correction, causing Carson to take a slight check.
In the second incident, the interference was found to be accidental as Justcallmesergio (GB) moved left-handed whilst clear, causing a green running Zipwire (IRE) to be influenced off its intended line which in turn resulted in Viennetta (GB) to be crowded for room against the rail.
Following the race, Trevor Whelan reported that Sergie's Secret (GB), placed fourth, ran green and hung left-handed; John Fahy reported that Summer Sparkle (IRE), unplaced, hung badly left-handed and William Carson reported that Viennetta (GB), unplaced, suffered interference approximately one furlong out.
