The Raceday Stewards interviewed Miss P. Elvin, rider of Moon Mission (GB), concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that she was in breach of the regulation and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Miss P. Elvin was in breach of Reg 10.3.g (excessive frequency) and having considered her clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended Miss P. Elvin for two racedays

Weights - 4-y-o 11st 13lbs 5-y-o and up 12st Mares allowed 7lbs
Riders - Ladies who are Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. Ladies who are Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (up to and including 5th October) may also ride in this race.
