When I got him, we dropped him in and he won two hurdles for us. We went over fences, he lost his confidence a little bit. He turned in going very well in Tipperary the last day, but from a slow pace just stayed going. We said we would make the running and try and change his mind a bit. His jumping at the top of the hill and at the last, he still wasn't brilliant, but I think that will give him a bit of confidence. He won well, but maybe an ordinary race. The Raceday Stewards interviewed E. Staples, rider of Fool Me Once, trained by Gavin Cromwell, concerning his riding in the closing stages. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he never headed the horse on his inside and stopped riding because of the horses in front of him. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that E. Staples was in breach of Rule 212(A)(iv)(by easing their mount without good reason) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they cautioned him on this occasion
