An enquiry was held into the start of this race and the participation of Sunshine And Roses (GB), drawn 5, ridden by Charles Bishop, after its stall opened slightly slower than the balance of the field.
After interviewing the Starter and the rider, the Stewards were satisfied that Sunshine And Roses (GB)’ chances had not been materially affected as a result of the stall opening slightly slowly and deemed Sunshine And Roses (GB) a runner.
Following the race, Jack Doughty reported that SNOWY DAY, unplaced, was slowly away from the stalls.
