Permission was given for Solid Fuel (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood and Sindri (GB) wore earplugs throughout the race.
After an initial false start, the start was effected successfully on the second attempt.
However, having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
At the first fence in the back straight on the final circuit, RORY’S STORY (IRE), placed fourth, jumped left- handed hampering Dexter (FR), placed second, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Conor Ring reported that Solid Fuel (GB), unplaced, made a bad mistake at the final fence and the Veterinary Officer reported that Sindri (GB), which was pulled up, finished lame on its right-hind.
