Permission was given for The Churchill Lad (IRE) to wear a red hood in the preliminaries.
Craig Nichol the rider of Scots Poet (GB) (IRE) had fallen approaching the final hurdle.
The rider and the Clerk of the Course were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
The Clerk of the Course explained that the area had been inspected after the incident and was found to be in a safe condition.
Having heard their evidence, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved, and the incident was caused by the gelding taking a false step and stumbling.
Following the race, Patrick Wadge reported that Bix Beiderbecke (FR), unplaced, ran too free.
