GERDAGO is a decent sort over hurdles (only beaten six lengths off a mark of 138 in the Fred Winter Handicap Hurdle) and, while yet to win on the flat, has put in a number of creditable performances. Runner-up twice last year, the son of Aussie Rules was taking on a very smart sort when third to Cheltenham Bumper hero Silver Concorde over two-mile at Navan. The tough uphill finish proved too much but this shorter trip should be to his liking. Smiler seems progressive over hurdles this year and is an interesting recruit to the flat, while Comedy Club has gone close here a couple of times including when pushing favourite Elusive Laurence to the line last week. Be Seeing You was close up in fourth on that occasion, and may be capable of improvement having only joined Gordon Elliott quite recently.
