The Charles Byrnes trained four-year-old impressed at Killarney on his last start, winning by fifteen lengths with Epsilon Indi in third. That one nearly gave the form a significant boost at Wexford on Friday, falling at the last when looking set to score. Kevin Brouder will again be aboard the selection, and the Listowel native takes a valuable seven pounds off. Denis Hogan saddles a quarter of the field, and takes the ride on Golden Poet who is fitted with blinkers for the first time. Having won this race in 2014 with Kalellshan, he is also represented by Storm Rising, Mezajy, Bensachuine, and Foxy Lass. Ange D'Or Javilex makes his debut for Gordon Elliott. Successful in a maiden hurdle at Limerick in 2014, and not seen since December of 2016, it'll be interesting to see how he fares here with Davy Russell booked to ride. Shake The Bucket, who won this race in 2016, has built up a sizable fan base over the years, and is sure to give a good account of himself. Handicap debutants Kellyiscool, and Motcomb Street are others for the shortlist, along with Wexford winner Mysloegin.
