FormscanBy Gary Carson - Andy Oliver has admitted that most his need a run this season so it was a particularly good effort by CONVERSATIONAL on her comeback run at Dundalk. She just gave way to a big gamble in Our Manekineko inside the final furlong on her handicap debut and still looks on an attractive mark here having gone up 5lb for that performance. Three of these come into this having won at Dundalk last time and that's no surprise as plenty of trainers will have been waiting for this better ground. The trio have form tying in with each other with Machete Mark having been third behind Won Diamond before beating Sacred Dragon. The last named may just be the one open to most improvement and getting weight off the other two looks the pick. He may prove a danger to the selection. Mouteab could only finish fourth in a tactical affair on his return at Naas but may be capable of better judged on his two-year-old form. The defeat of leading Guineas contender Magician reads well, although the rival has improved markedly since.
